Of the 177 men of the battalion who landed on June 6, only 24 finished the campaign unharmed. Also worth seeing: the Mus\u00e9e du Mur de l&#8217;Atlantique &#8220;le Grand Bunker&#8221; &#8211; the last visible vestige of what was the Channel&#8217;s most powerful coastal battery &#8211; which extends over 6 levels.
